David Tennant is confirmed to appear in the full second series of Very British Problems on Channel 4.
Based on the Twitter feed of the same name, founded by Rob Temple, which now has over one million followers, the second series will once again see well known British celebrities (and some outsiders looking in) providing their own unique takes on those everyday phenomena that characterise Britishness.

Some of Britain's best-known comedians and famous faces share their anecdotal experiences and observations on the peculiar behaviour of Brits at school, with friends, and on holiday. To start the new series, Very British Problems at School includes James Corden, Jack Whitehall, David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Danny Dyer, Josh Widdicombe, Alex Brooker, Vic Reeves, Bob Mortimer, Grace Dent, Francesca Martinez, Rich Hall, Romesh Ranganathan, Javone Prince, Susan Calman and Rebecca Front. The show remembers sex education classes, the horror of mouldy PE kits, and how we became a nation of binge drinkers. While Catherine Tate remembers her first kiss, James Corden recalls his extreme pubic hair anxiety. School is where Brits are taught to do as we're told, to follow the rules, and to be anxious and emotionally stunted at every turn. Very British Problems at School explores how British people's peculiar ability to find confusion, embarrassment and social awkwardness at every turn begins at school and how we learn to decipher the unwritten codes and rules of behaviour the rest of the world doesn't understand.

Britain is officially not very friendly, ranking way down as the 55th friendliest country in the world. While Americans have up to seven close friends, and the French have four, Brits can count their innermost circle on the fingers of... two fingers. David Tennant puts this down to our inability to show emotions. One thing we hate is mixing friends. Weddings are also a minefield of social awkwardness. Stephen Mangan always feared being killed by the father of his girlfriends while Bob Mortimer avoided all personal chat by remarking on the quality of the carpet. Texting friends suits Brits very well, as it's a way of communicating at a distance. But there are texting sins that our celebrities will not tolerate, from exclamation marks to LOL.
