Doctor Who: The Day Of The Doctor Nominated In Broadcast Awards 2015



The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special The Day Of The Doctor has been nominated in the 2015 Broadcast Awards. The programme is shortlisted in the category for Best International Programme Sales.

The annual Broadcast Awards are now in their 20th year. The awards celebrate the best in British creativity, commending the most outstanding content of the year and championing those who made it possible. This year over 100 programmes have been shortlisted across 17 categories, and the finals also celebrate productions companies and Channel of the Year. The winners will be announced on 4th February 2015 at a ceremony held at Grosvenor House in London.

Doctor Who: The Day Of The Doctor saw Matt Smith, David Tennant and John Hurt as three incarnations of the legendary Time Lord thrown together to combat classic foes the Daleks and the Zygons. The special also starred Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper and Joanna Page. The thrilling 75 minute 3D special was simulcast on TV in over 90 countries on the 23rd November last year and was also streamed into cinemas and online around the world.
