RADIO: The Gobetweenies Starring David Tennant Repeated On BBC Radio 4 Extra



The first series of radio sitcom The Gobetweenies starring David Tennant and Sarah Alexander will be repeated on Sundays on BBC Radio 4 Extra starting from this weekend.

The series by Marcella Evaristi follows looks at life in North London through the eyes of Tom and Lucy Miller (Finlay Christie and Phoebe Abbott), the children of divorced couple Joe (David Tennant) and Mimi (Sarah Alexander) as they share their time out between their parents. The series also stars Stuart Milligan as Harry.

A candid look at contemporary family through the prism of two North London siblings Lucy and Tom as they schlep between their determinedly hands-on parents. Lucy is excited about exploring surrealism, Tom is obsessively counting sultanas and their mum Mimi is desperate for her third attempt at married life to get started, but the children's father Joe has come to a decision that will changes their all their lives...

The Gobetweenies was originally aired in May 2011. Due to other commitments David Tennant was not able to continue in the role beyond the first series and the part of Joe has subsequently been played by Mark Bonnar.
