AUSTRALIA: The Politician's Husband Concludes On BBC First Tonight



The final part of The Politician's Husband starring David Tennant and Emily Watson airs on new Australian premium channel BBC First tonight. The drama explores what happens in a political marriage when the husband falls from grace just as his wife's career starts to take off.
The series was written by Paula Milne for BBC Two and also stars Ed Stoppard, Roger Allam, Jack Shepherd and Oscar Kennedy.

The Politician's Husband
Aiden Hoynes (David Tennant), a senior Cabinet Minister, is happily married to Freya (Emily Watson), a junior Minister who has consistently put her own career ambitions on hold for the sake of Aiden's career and their family.
When Aiden's career path to the top echelons comes to an abrupt halt, the power balance within his marriage is irrevocably shifted as he witnesses his wife's political career soar.
Desperate to salvage his political career and cling to power at whatever cost, Aiden risks destroying everything he holds most dear.

Aiden has to defend himself in a sex scandal that threatens to derail any chance of a political comeback and also further threatens his marriage. As he wrestles both back from the brink he discovers Freya has been less than honest.
