According to the Gracepoint Unit Manager Paul Raymond, the first two episodes of the Fox event have now been recorded. He was talking earlier this afternoon on The Ian Jessop One On One Show on local radio station CFAX 1070.
David Tennant stars in the ten part US adaptation of the hit ITV series Broadchurch as Detective Emmett Carver, the American counterpart of DI Alec Hardy. The series has been filming on Vancouver Island, Canada since the end of January. Raymond would not confirm any filming locations but did say that they are all very busy with long working days and that they filmed on six days last week.
Paul Raymond also said that he was impressed with the producers of Gracepoint and how they had, from the very start, made efforts to work alongside the local population. He had rarely seen a company come in and spend so much time with the community, and there had been a very short preparation time in this instance. The producers had acknowledged that that they would impose much on local life while filming, causing a certain amount of disruption, but they were very open to working with local people and businesses, going as far as offering local businesses a chance to have their signage featured in the production.
Gracepoint is due to air on Fox as part of the 2014-15 season. Other cast includes Anna Gunn as Ellie Miller, Nick Nolte as Jack Reinhold, Kevin Zegers as Owen Burke and Jacki Weaver as Susan Wright.
