The release date for the region 2 (UK and Europe) DVD of The Politician's Husband has now been pushed back to the 20th May 2013.
In the new drama series
for BBC Two , David Tennant stars as Aiden Hoynes, a senior cabinet
minister who has always put his career before family, with the support of Freya
(Emily Watson) , his devoted wife and mother to their two young children. But
when Freya's own political career takes off and threatens to overshadow
his, Aiden's life is thrown into chaos. As his political career
comes to a standstill, and with his marriage turned upside down, Aiden takes
increasing risks in his quest for power.
The drama was written
by Paula Milne and is produced by Daybreak Pictures for the BBC and directed by
Simon Cellan Jones. The drama also stars Ed Stoppard, Roger Allam, Jack
Shepherd and Oscar Kennedy.
The series will be shown on BBC Two later this spring.
