September Start Date For David Tennant's Comedy World Cup




The first episode of the new Channel 4 panel show, Comedy World Cup, hosted by David Tennant is now listed for Saturday 15th September at 8.10pm. The series of seven one-hour shows are scheduled in direct competition with ITV's X Factor. There is also a Tuesday night repeat at 10.30pm.

Channel 4 say of the series:

Kicking off Saturday nights, David Tennant will host Comedy World Cup, a brand new series in which the funniest folk in comedy team up for a new panel show. Across a seven-part series, teams of comedians will harness all of their comedy cunning to avoid being knocked-out and be in with a chance to claim THE ultimate prize: The Comedy World Cup.


Following on from the recorded pilot / rehearsal for the show last Sunday, David starts filming episodes for broadcast next Saturday at Teddington Studios in Middlesex. Free tickets to attend the recording next weekend and the three Sundays following still appear to be available from SRO Audiences.
